Stopped by while I was in Westmoreland based on the ratings. Boy, was I disappointed! It was a chilly day, and their soup was cream of potato. I asked waitress what was good. She suggested their steak salad, which I ordered medium rare, a bowl of soup and a coffee with extra cream. I'm not sure what they use as cream, but I don't think it was a dairy based product. I waited for my soup, thinking it would be served before my salad, but it came with the salad. It tasted good, but the bowl was huge and the tiny bit of soup at the bottom barely covered the spoon. I don't think it would have filled a cup if it would have been transferred from the bowl to a cup. The steak on the salad was charred. I mentioned it to the waitress when she came back, and she offered to have them remake it, but I was already running late. She did take the price of the salad off my bill. The total for soup and coffee was almost $7.00. I gave her a $20.00 bill, and she tried to give me back $10.00 and some coins. I asked her if it was $10 for soup and coffee. She apologized, said she rang in the wrong amount...really? I asked her for $10 back and she could keep the rest for a tip...which was more than she deserved. Needless to say, it was an expensive cup of soup, and I'll never go back. Sad, because I really thought it would be great!

Loved the atmosphere. It was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. The food itself made it a place I will go back to tonight. I had the catfish last night and it was some of the best I have ever eaten!
My favorite restaurant with the most unique menu and always great service. Usually a wait for food but well worth it because they put time into every item served. Very clean and friendly servers and very unique decorations with lots of town history .
Great food, great prices. Very cozy place. I'll definitely be back.
